Privacy Policy

OfferAhead (“we”, “us”) provides market-intelligence tools for freelancers and agencies. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. OfferAhead is in open beta; this policy may change as the product evolves, and we’ll update the date above when it does.

Information we collect

• Account details — your email address, and optionally your name, when you sign up or sign in with Google.
• Profile you provide — the skills, bio/profile text, and any experience you enter to personalize your market analysis.
• ChatGPT connection — if you connect ChatGPT for AI proposal drafting, we store only that your account is connected (plus your ChatGPT display name and avatar, for the interface). Drafting runs in your browser on your own ChatGPT session; we never receive or store your ChatGPT password, API key, or session token.
• Usage data — basic, privacy-respecting analytics about how the site and app are used (e.g. pages viewed). We do not sell your data.

We do not collect the underlying freelance job listings from you; that market data is gathered from public sources and is not personal to you.

How we use it

• To create and secure your account and sign you in.
• To personalize your dashboard, market answers, and skill-matched notifications.
• To draft proposals with AI when you request it — the drafting runs in your browser on your own connected ChatGPT session.
• To communicate with you (e.g. password resets, product updates you opt into).

Service providers

We share the minimum necessary data with trusted providers that help us run the service:

• Hosting & infrastructure — our cloud and CDN providers.
• Email — Resend, to send transactional email such as password resets.
• Authentication — Google, if you sign in with Google.
• AI processing — when you draft a proposal, the request is made from your own browser directly to ChatGPT (OpenAI) using your logged-in session; it does not pass through our servers.

These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Cookies

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and remember your theme preference. Any analytics we use is configured to be privacy-friendly and, where required, cookieless.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your account data while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time — from within the app once available, or by emailing us. When you delete your account, your profile, skills, saved proposals, and ChatGPT connection are removed.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact us at the address below.

Security

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and encryption at rest for sensitive fields. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.
